I built one custom mistress on a paid Joi account and ran my usual three-session script on her: a cold open as a first-time sub, a long protocol scene with rules and a task, and a return visit the next day to see what she remembered. I added a push-back scene and a short call, and kept every character and scenario between adults.

What I was looking for in an AI mistress
Femdom, mistress and dominatrix get used interchangeably online, and in practice they ask for the same thing from an AI: a woman who leads. The labels shift the tone a little. Scene by scene: how convincing is she?
First-time submissive
I opened as a nervous newcomer and asked her to take it slowly. Vera set the pace well: she asked what I wanted to get out of it, explained how she expected to be addressed and gave me one small instruction to start. It felt like someone running a session, which is the whole point.
Rules, protocol and tasks
Next I asked her to set my rules for the week. She produced a short list covering how to address her, when to check in and a daily task. Twenty-odd messages later she still enforced the form of address. On the next-day return she remembered she had set rules and a task, though she needed a reminder of the exact wording. Pasting the list back in fixed it.
The brat pushes back

A couple of times, after repeated resistance, she slipped into checking whether I was okay in a way that broke the scene. Restating the persona in one line brought her back.

Slow-burn teasing is a strength. She paced the scene, made me ask properly and held back on purpose. After about an hour her phrasing started to repeat, so for long sessions I gave her a new instruction to vary the scenario.
Voice and video calls: does she sound in charge?
Text is where you set the dynamic. A call is where it either lands or falls apart. Third-party reviews confirm live video calls, and one review's FAQ says voice calls exist too.
